If you’re happy with the price on that Savage4, go for it. However the OpenGL performance really proved to be an eye-opener! Is this card it or should I continue my search.

First Impressions Following the Diamond tradition, the S comes in a huge box that bears an attractive cover design, it is also nice to know that Diamond actually hires a designer to design the box, not getting their engineers to do the job, a fine tradition that is worth keeping.
Measured in Reality Marks Benchmark Comments. I am currently searching for an S4pro PCI card to test in a p4 thinclient. I’m not talking that weak stuff Voodoo uses on their 4’s and 5’s. There are very few games in DOS that take advantage of the smooth scrolling it offers, and the rest of the Savage 4 cards are rare and pricey.
They still have plenty of nice and cheap stuff there, but they used to have more.

For the uninitiated, Mira is a subsidiary of Mitsubishi, so it’s not some unknown brand. Unlike the TNT2, most Savage4 board manufacturers will be shipping their products at the same time, but if you do happen to come across Diamond’s latest concoction, should you give ‘er a try?

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know. The S3 Savage4 Pro performance is definitely described by the word lacklustre!

This makes it much newer than the rest of your system, but you know it won’t be a bottleneck at least. The funny thing is after I purchased the second card Russian post found the package and are apparently continuing to deliver it to me.
According to Vijay’s tests the Spectra manages TV-Out No TV-Out is minor issue to most users, however it matters if you are an avid gamer and buy things like wireless keyboards and invest heavily on a nice flat TV! So you may run into some performance limitations that are actually video card related.
Something else woth mentioning was that the contents of the sttealth were pretty firm and didn’t rattle about as I brought it home. Overall Rating Out of a maximum of 5 Star.
